Toughened Glass

Toughened Glass

What it is:

A type of glass processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength.

What it does:

  • Gives strength: A fully tempered glass is 4 to 5 times stronger than normal glass.
  • Ensures safety: When broken, fully tempered glass disintegrates into small pieces, thereby reducing likelihood of serious cuts
  • Prevents Thermal Breakage: A fully tempered glass has higher edge strength to withstand chances of thermal breakage.

Benefits:

  • 4 to 5 times stronger than raw glass
  • Reduces risk of injury when impacted
  • Ability to withstand high-temperature variations up to 250°C
  • Higher edge strength to withstand chances of thermal breakage
  • Can withstand wind variation up to 321.87 Kph

Where it's used:

Tempered glass finds maximum usage in architectural designs in residential and commercial buildings - both in the interiors as well as exteriors. Exterior Facades, Doors, Partitions, Shower, Enclosure Railings, etc.
